I am a single woman with rent, bills, and gas to pay for-- and I'm relying on my ex boyfriend to help me pay for all of this (he is my roommate and we are friends). I tried to get SSI but they said I earned too much money. I'm not "poor enough" according to the government. I am unable to work at all-- and I have two degrees so its really hard for me. I'm only 34 years old. I am actually on disability and I make less than 700 a month.
