We need 100,000 people to sign a petition to force the government to revisit why Social Security numbers are on Medicare cards. Please SHARE this post with your friends!
Social Security numbers are used as Medicare ID numbers and are printed on Medicare cards. Seniors are instructed to keep their Medicare cards on them, but since the cards contain their Social Security numbers they are increasing their risk of identity theft. States were required to remove Social Security numbers from driver’s licenses in 2004 – it’s 10 years later and it’s time stop using Social Security numbers as Medicare ID numbers to help protect our seniors from identity theft.
